Aktør som Bygger is domiciled in Finnsnes in Troms County, and is now entering into a contract with Statnett for the job at Bardufoss substation. They have previously also carried out ground and construction work at Balsfjord substation on assignment for Statnett.
"We are happy that a local contractor has again received an assignment for the project, and over the 3 years of construction work, we have experienced that local players are absolutely competitive," says Kirsten Faugstad, Project Director Ofoten – Balsfjord.
The groundwork includes asphalting, improvement of the course of the stream, as well as other clean-up and outdoor work. The construction work includes retrofitting the old control building into a new social section with a kitchen, workshop, offices, etc.
The work will start on 6 June 2017.
