Rebaioli
A contract has been signed with Rebaioli SPA for construction of a power line from Balsfjord to Reisadalen. Giannina Rebaioli, President of Rebaioli, signed the contract on behalf of the company. Senior vice president for building and construction, Elisabeth Vike Vardheim, signed the contract for Statnett.
The work will commence in October this autumn. The company recently completed construction of a 420 kV power line from Ofoten to Kvandal, and is familiar with construction conditions in the north - and with Statnett.
Eltel Networks
For the next section, from Reisadalen to Skillemoen in Alta, Statnett has signed a contract with the Norwegian company EltelNetworks. CEO Anders Hauglie-Hansen of Eltel Networks signed the contract on behalf of the company. Senior vice president for building and construction, Elisabeth Vike Vardheim, also signed this contract for Statnett.
This power line stringing is scheduled to start in the summer of 2017. EltelNetworks is a well-known company that has done construction work for Statnett previously. They also have offices in Sweden and Finland, and will apply the expertise they have acquired there, to their construction work.
Start-up postponed
Due to some postponed needs and thus more time for the construction towards Skaidi, enquiries relating to the construction from Skillemoen to Skaidi have been cancelled for the time being. A new assessment of start-up for the final section will be made within 1-2 years.
