Statnett is building a new power line for the central grid from Lysefjord area to Nord-Jæren, and a new substation at Fagrafjell. The construction will be completed during 2023.
The new power line runs from Lyse in Forsand, via Seldalsheia in Sandnes to Fagrafjell on the border between Sandnes and Time. A new substation is under construction at Fagrafjell. The purpose of the project is to secure enough electricity for the people of southern Rogaland and facilitate further growth.
